About us
Built for commitments that need to hold up in practice.
Sustenra exists because the gap between what institutions commit to and what is delivered is rarely a question of intention. It is usually a question of structure.
Why Sustenra exists
Institutions make ambitious ESG, CSR, philanthropic, grantmaking, global health and social impact commitments every day. Strong intentions and substantial resources are common. Clear independent visibility, robust accountability and long-term sustainability are less so.
Sustenra provides senior independent advisory support to help institutions understand whether those commitments are structured to deliver in practice.
What makes Sustenra different
Sustenra is built around senior judgement, structural independence and direct delivery experience.
Senior-led throughout
Every engagement is led by senior principals. The people who scope the work are the people who do it.
Independent by design
Sustenra has no implementation arm and no commercial referral relationships. Advice is not shaped by implementation incentives, referral relationships, or a stake in programme continuation.
Grounded in real delivery
The principals have worked as funders, implementers, evaluators, researchers and programme leads, including in-country across complex delivery environments.
Where Sustenra comes from
Sustenra is led by three principals. Isabel Litwin-Davies and Antonia Morzenti have known each other for more than 20 years, since a month-long volunteer placement in Tanzania where they saw what strong local teams could achieve with meaningful support, and what could happen when external funding ended. Isabel and Agnes Nanyonjo have worked together for more than a decade.
That early experience was not the founding moment. It was the beginning of a pattern they recognised again across later careers in global health, international development, research, policy and delivery.
The same gaps appeared across different institutions and settings: limited independent visibility, accountability arrangements that did not hold, and sustainability that was considered too late.
Who does the work
Sustenra is women-founded and women-led. The principals work directly with every client, from first conversation to final output. Clients are not handed from a senior lead to a junior delivery team.
Sustenra is a newer firm. The advisory, funding, research and delivery experience it draws on is not.

When visibility is limited, independent judgement matters.
If the commitment matters and the visibility around it is not sufficient, the right next step is a confidential conversation.
