We are looking for an experienced commercial leader who can help turn Sustenra’s expertise and relationships into substantial paid advisory work, while helping shape the commercial function for the longer term.
Founding Commercial Director
A hands-on senior commercial role for someone who can originate, win and close high-value advisory work and help build Sustenra’s commercial function from the beginning.
We are looking for someone with clear evidence of personally originating and closing significant consulting, advisory, professional-services or other complex business-to-business work.
- Originate and close paid advisory mandates
- Create new opportunities beyond an existing network
- Sell complex expertise to senior decision-makers
- Lead discovery, scope, pricing and negotiation
- Translate Sustenra’s experience into a compelling buyer proposition
- Exercise strong judgement about which work to pursue or refuse
The role is intended to grow with the firm. If the relationship works well and Sustenra grows, we expect it to develop into a larger, potentially full-time leadership position, with potential longer-term equity participation.

Small team, senior responsibility
Sustenra is intentionally lean. We are looking for people who are comfortable working independently, taking ownership and contributing directly to how the firm develops.
Independent judgement
We value people who can make sound decisions, challenge assumptions and know when an opportunity is not right for Sustenra.
Practical execution
We are interested in people who can do the work, not only design the strategy or advise others on what should happen.
Long-term contribution
For the right person, this role is intended to become a deeper leadership relationship as Sustenra grows.
